Manapouri Short Walks

A 20 minute drive from Te Anau, this area offers either a short loop track with spectacular views of Lake Manapouri and the Hunter Mountains or one/two night trips in lowland forest and well marked tracks. Access across Waiau River by rowboat.

	Manapouri Circle Track A 3-3.5 hour walking circular walk with stunning views over the lake and mountains. A variety of vegetation and birdlife abounds.
	The Monument Track Accesible by boat or from Hope Arm of Lake Manapouri, this track is noteable for its appearance in Lord of the Rings movie, and provides great views from seemingly remote location.
	Waterfall Walk A short walk through unique pocket of native podocarp forest includes good view points and picturesque "High Bluff Falls".
	Frasers Beach The views from the beach of the National Park are awe-inspiring, especially at sunset. Walk along the beach, or the track parallel to the beach. The track starts and finishes from Pearl Harbour or at the road entrance just north of the Manapouri township.
