About Tuatapere Hump Track Ltd

Duration: 3 day/2 night loop track.

The Tuatapere Hump Ridge Track winds 55km across some of New Zealand's wildest land, through the pristine Fiordland National Park and over private and Maori land. The track takes walkers along the southern edge of New Zealand, up to the sub-alpine zone of the Hump Ridge with panoramic views over Stewart Island and the Southern Ocean, and down to historic viaducts in the heart of native forest. Our two backcountry lodges are in superb locations, each providing a unique stopping point along the walk. The opportunity to swim with rare Hector's dolphins, experience the true wilderness of Fiordland, and relax at the end of the day with a glass of wine are just some of the unique aspects of our track.

We offer both small-group, fully-catered guided trips and independent tramping. Upgrade options are also available for independent walkers, including hot showers, heli-packing and premium-room accommodation.
